Houses Destroyed in San Bernardino County, CA, Wildfire

While small compared to others burning across the state, it was very destructive, fire officers said.

One person was detained in connection with a brush fire in San Bernardino that destroyed several homes.

The temperature in the area when the fire started were 109 degrees which hampetered firefighters

Crews quickly described the Edgehill fire as an "immediate structure threat" and requested help from other departments, NBCLA reported.

"It was pretty intense, The high heat and winds didn't help," County Fire Captain Jose Cruz said.

t was a small fire compared to mutiple others raging across the state.

San Bernardio County Police released the man they detrained about the fire. No other details were available.
